Low-fare Airline Craze

Nationwide low-fare airlines are not the only ones coming out of the wood works—this low-budget airline craze has propagated to Southeast Asia. A Singaporean based new budget airline, Jetstar Asia - www.jetstarasia.com, is currently selling one-way airfare to Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, and Manila for as low as US$30-$40. Another Singaporean low-fare airline, Tiger Airways - www.tigerairways.com, is selling half price tickets to Thai cities like Phuket and Chiang Mai for as low as US$15!

This is all leads me to question how these new low-budget Asian airlines will impact both business travelers and international business travel in general, especially when Asia is experiencing terrorist actions and is recovering from the repercussions of natural disasters?
