A New Way to Feng Shui

Recently, I attended a Four Seasons event at the Four Seasons here in New York. The event showcased all the improvements that the company has made and is making to its properties. (In the past year 17 resorts have been redone and many more are in store; Four Seasons has spent $725 million on recent and current renovations and plans to spend another $248 million by 2010.)

In keeping with the makeover theme, Billy Yamaguchi was also at the event. Yamaguchi is a Feng Shui Master who has built a salon company with several locations in California, including one at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. At this event, Yamaguchi was giving free Feng Shui consultations—for your appearance, not your living space. He explained his philosophy of integrating the elements and principles of the ancient tradition with those of Western hair design and then gave me some interesting advice on how to wear my hair, on what colors to wear most, and even on what style of dress works best for me.

Yamguchi created this new discipline of Feng Shui for beauty, hair design, and harmony. He's written a book called Billy Yamaguchi Feng Shui Beauty. And he also is available for meetings and events. He can give a speech, individual consultations, or both.
